Control Panel and Firmware 1.0.21 Release Notes. Our largest update yet!

Control Panel and Firmware 1.0.21 Release Notes. Our largest update yet!

Since Glydr began shipping in September, we have released multiple updates and improvements to both Glydr’s firmware and control panel. Today we are updating both the control panel and firmware, and this might be our largest update yet! This update is a culmination of the past 6 months of usage, info, and suggestions from our earliest supporters. We cannot express how much we appreciate our users who suggest updates and report bugs to us via Discord or our support email (support@glydr.gg). We are committed to not only fixing issues that may arise but adding features requested most by Glydr users. Below is a full breakdown of all the changes in both the firmware and control panel available now in the Updates section of the Glydr Control Panel.

IMPORTANT NOTES

This firmware update has a change in structure that will cause the device to start in the Default_WASD_Mouse profile

Make sure to activate the profile you want to use after updating

Please update the firmware before updating the Control Panel

Release notes for Firmware v1.0.21 3/25/2026

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed scroll speed calculation to be slower, based on lines and not pixels

  • Fixed haptic buzz on action so that it doesn't slow down the inputs

  • Fixed gamepad thumbstick calculations to hit the corners

  • Fixed the Wave LED rainbow pattern operation

  • Fixed a Wave/Scan mixup on the status

  • Fixed a calibration bug related to the flap sensors

New Features
  • Added "FOOTREST" and "PLAY" mode control to make it easy to disable Glydr when you just want to rest your feet on it.

  • Enabled mouse movement or scroll to be controlled by a single footpad.

  • Enabled gamepad thumbstick axis to be controlled by a single footpad.

  • Enabled gamepad trigger to be controlled by a single footpad tilt (option: forward or backward).

  • Enabled overdrive for Toe/Heel and Heel/Toe.

Improvements
  • Horizontal mouse speed calculations have been adjusted to be a smoother curve based on the 3 speed factors.

  • After 2 minutes of inactivity, ignore all actions until the pedals and flaps are all flat when flaps are enabled to help with unintended input when placing the feet on the device

  • Ignore a single flap going up if the flaps have both been down and one comes up while the other is also moving up. This is to reduce unintended actions when both flaps are coming up and there is an action on one or both.
