Hi folks!
Happy New Year! We've got a beefy update for folks interested in getting their feet on a Glydr this year!
Product Update
We are just a couple weeks out from getting all of our parts and tools here in Texas where we can begin additional testing on production design and start the process of assembling the first 450 or so units that will be shipped out to Kickstarter backers!
This means we'll collect addresses in February and begin the steps to get Glydrs out to folks in earnest. We're so, so, so excited about this. Obviously any first batch of a hardware product is exciting but also will come with friction, so we're setting up a proper customer service flow for folks to use once they get their Glydrs. We're not expecting anything major, however!
We've sourced high quality materials, starting with the sturdy metal base perfect for your long and intense gaming sessions, because we know you're going to put any new controller through its paces.
We'll have more updates once everything is in house and we begin to test and assemble, so keep your eye on this blog and our socials!
Welcome Eric Nacci!
One of the coolest milestones you can have as a startup is your first hire. This month we've been thrilled to welcome Eric Nacci to the team! He has worked at OpTic Gaming setting up world class esports events and also used to run a custom keyboard operation that is going to serve us very well on the small scale manufacturing and assembly side.
Some quick Eric trivia:
Favorite current video games: Elden Ring & Marvel Rivals
Favorite all-time video game: Overwatch
Why is Eric excited to join Glydr?
"While I didn't game much growing up, video games have all but consumed my life since building a PC early 2016. Since then I have been passionate about sharing how incredible gaming can be for people of all ages. Glydr not only makes gaming more accessible, but provides users with a new way to elevate their gameplay. I am excited to be able to blend my experience from working in esports and custom mechanical keyboards to help bring Glydr to the masses."
Which game is Eric most excited to try with Glydr?
"I am really excited to use Glydr in Marvel Rivals and find unique ways to integrate it alongside a mouse and keyboard to minimize my fingers from having to leave WASD."
Which non-gaming use is Eric most excited to see among our adopters?
"I am excited to dive deep into how live streamers could integrate Glydr into their streams to not only make their workflow easier, but also increase their creativity without taking their hands off their mouse, keyboard, or controller."
SXSW 2025
Glydr was invited to be a pitch alternate (out of 600 companies who applied) at this year's upcoming SXSW event in Austin, TX! We'll be on stage delivering a blistering fast pitch (unless we're moved to finalist status in which case it'll be just slightly less blistering fast) in front of the world!
Very cool. Wasn't on my bingo card this time last year but we couldn't be more excited to present Glydr and all of its extremely cool benefits to the masses in early March. Not the most ideal time to visit Austin, to be totally honest, but I'll still be very happy to get to sample some of the best BBQ in Texas.
Frequently Asked Questions
We get questions a lot about the possibilities of Glydr and I figured it'd be great to share some of those answers here in case you also had those questions.
Is Glydr Mac compatible?
Yes, with a caveat. We have extensively tested on PCs and are comfortable saying that with only very few exceptions due to anti-cheat software, Glydr works with anything that could use a keyboard, mouse, or gamepad. On Mac, we haven't tested as extensively as we are three people (now four, technically). But Mac compatibility is a big priority for us and if there are any hitches we'll be releasing frequent firmware and software updates to address them.
Can I play X with Glydr?
You have a specific game in mind for using Glydr! That's awesome! If you can map a keyboard, mouse, or gamepad in the game you have in mind, you can map Glydr to do up to 16 different actions. We'll be releasing recommended profiles for different games, but you're welcome to build your own to suit your play style.
Can I play Glydr with one foot?
Yes! You'll be cutting possible combinations down a bit, but if you only wish to use one foot (like I do for some games), it's certainly possible and very intuitive.
Can you control your mouse with Glydr?
You can! You can set mouse direction to pedal axes and even map clicking and scroll wheel to your feet. I would say this takes some learning and patience to get down, but if you're already used to using alternative controls for the mouse it should be a quick study!
Can I add strategy game/MMO hotkeys to Glydr?
That's one of our favorite uses of Glydr! We get tired stretching our fingers to access hotkeys so Glydr represents an amazing tool to focus your hands on your moment to moment actions while your feet can take care of contextual hotkeys.

Thanks for all of your support and excitement for Glydr so far and we'll be back again soon with another update!
